The Story
Once upon a time, there lived three magical friends. The Goddess, the Witch, and the Enchantress. They would always do everything with each other, gossip amongst themselves, and even play pranks on neighboring villagers. Now trust me, this was very long ago. Hence 'once upon a time'. No one would guess these three were tighter than braids that long ago, since now they're fighting against each other. Oh, but do not fret! I'll get there in just a jiffy.
Each girl had a different power that made the entire village prosper. The Goddess was in charge of the growth and harvest of plants. The Witch had power of weather. And the Enchantress had power over the people. Life seemed great, right? Wrong.
Because the girls wanted the other powers.
The Witch was the first to become lustful and envious of the other two. What good was weather? She could only make it rain and snow, while the other two could make plants and relationships grow or die out. Thats when she started to get antsy. She made it rain heavily over all the crops and made little girls sniffle till their noses turned red. The Goddess and Enchantress didn't like how the Witch kept on abusing her power, so they banished her to the Mountainside.
"If we see you inside this village once again, its off with your head!" They told her, and the Witch heeded this warning. At least now she did. The Witch played low for a couple years after that. And the village seemed at peace again. Until the Goddess became vengeful over the Enchantress, who kept making the villagers fall in love and forget about their crops. Which meant more work for the Goddess.
"You're only jealous because you lack the beauty and creativity to bind two people together!" The Enchantress shouted, and thus banished her to the lake in Everest, the scariest of the two forests. This time, hardships among the villagers heightened, and the power of love seemed to break through the hate that began to grow.
And so the Enchantress broke the seals upon the Witch and the Goddess, and so havoc reached a whole new level. Thats when the Harvest Sprites were born, to help the Goddess with her work while she handled the other two.
Now that some sort of balance is restored, the three 'friends' must work out their differences so that peace could reign Charoite Village.. HAH. Right. Because now even through the friendship spells, the villagers are starting to compete with each other as well. The farmers are merciless when it comes to growing the right crop. And if they're sneaky enough, they could sabotage the others hard work.
The farmers worked the harvest sprites day in and day out, while they went fishing or mining so they had the most munny out there. Their determination only lasted a short time, since the Harvest Sprites slowly dwindled until there was only a last of their color.
Now this was bad. The magic the Harvest Sprites had were bits and pieces of the Harvest Goddess's. And now that only few remained, meant that the Harvest Goddess only had so little power. She begged the Witch to take care of the foliage of the Village, but the Witch declined. She said, "If the Goddess cannot take care of their own crops, then they shall take care of their own."
And so the Goddess returned to her lake, and watched over the Village from afar. The Enchantress did not like the Witch for denying the Goddess's favor, so she put a curse on the Witch.
"For as long as your mind is sinful to the people of Charoite, your face shall forever be scarred with each plant you kill, each little girl you prank, and each evil deed you do."
And so, the Witches face became as disgusting as the warts on a toad. And so she hides away in her cave, away from anyone who could ever set their sight upon her. As of now, she wears a porcelain mask to cover up her deadly scars.
As of the Enchantress, she cannot keep up with the people of Charoite alone. She gave an order to each individual Harvest Sprite, to make sure the Village could run on its own. And with that, she locked herself up, and legend has it, that she resides above your very head, and looking through her Looking Glass as she looks over the villagers from her safe haven.
Say WHUUUUUUT?
This isn't your normal Harvest Moon role play. We've got love, we've got hate, and we've got drama. And you have to live in it. This is definitely a big spin from what Harvest Moon used to be about. But honey, we've got so much more.
