---Kingdom Hearts: Fairytale Memories Character
[/u][/i][/center]Name: Sephiroth
Alias:(If Any) One-Winged Angel, Nightmare
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Species: Genetically enhanced human (Not sure what to call him KH-wise XD; )
Profession: Swordsman.
Rank: N/A
Alignment: Evil
Home World: Radiant Garden, assumedly.
Personality:
Sephiroth is a quietly ruthless person. He is probably one of the cruelest people in existence but he is not a villian that is outwardly sadistic. All you will get from Sephiroth is a smirk, a chuckle, possibly even the bark of a lone laugh.
However, the only person he seems to want anything to do with is Cloud, if that. Sometimes he even looks tired of Cloud chasing after him like a lost puppy. But in the end, nothing delights the silver-haired Angel more than the angst and suffering of the blonde. He enjoys playing mind tricks on Cloud to make him fall further into darkness.
Physical Appearance:
Image
Sephiroth is a tall man with quite a muscular build, but not overly so. He has fair, pale skin that looks a bit tan with his silver-colored hair that frames his long face. His eyes are a bright, piercing blue green--the color of Mako. Lastly, he has a large black wing on the right side of his back, but only one wing.
His outfit is quite intricate. He doesn't necessarily have a shirt that he wears; just a bunch of black leather belts around his lower torso and two dark brown leather belts that criss-cross across his bare chest. His lower body is covered by a pair of tight-looking black leather pants. He also has a long black coat he wears over all of this, which is outlined in red on the edges. The bottom of the coat seems to defy gravity and lift upward almost like a hoop skirt. Last but not least his shoulders are covered by huge silver plates for armor.
Equipment: Sephiroth always carries his masamune--his seven-foot-long katana blade--with him.
Combat Style:
Sephiroth uses an extremely long katana that even has a name: Masamune. He uses it with amazing swiftness and accuracy (But who can miss their target when they have such huge range with that thing?). But beyond that he also has such magical abilities as well. He can use darkness to teleport, cast normal elemental spells like Fire or Thunder. However, he also has a specific attack that, once you get caught in it, your MP is drained completely and your HP is down to one. Sephiroth's opponent has to think quick!
History: (FFVII history)
Sephiroth's history begins before he was even born. For you see, a group of Shinra scientists, headed by Professor Hojo and assisted by Lucrecia Crescent, were researching a project called the Jenova Project. It was quite a lengthy project beginning years earlier, but the originating researcher, Professor Gast, passed away and thus Hojo took over.
Hojo and Lucrecia ended up involved in a relationship, and soon Lucrecia was pregnant. It was not long after this discovery that Lucrecia suggested to Hojo injecting Jenova cells into the embryo of their child. Even Hojo had second thoughts about this idea until he thought about it and realized how brilliant it was. Vincent Valentine, a Turk and Lucrecia’s bodyguard, tried to stop them but Hojo ended up killing him in the process (Unneeded info for Sephiroth’s history, I guess. XD; )
In the end, the embryo was injected, and said embryo became Sephiroth. A complete and utter success. They created the most powerful “human” in the world using Jenova’s cells. However, Lucrecia ended up dying as she gave birth to Sephiroth. This gave Hojo the perfect reason to (utterly disrespect Lucrecia) tell Sephiroth that Jenova was his mother.
Sephiroth lived a life of perfection. He remained within Shinra for his entire life and by the time he was twenty years old, he was named the General of SOLDIER. He was the spotlight of Shinra and his heroism gave Shinra the popularity boost it needed to remain afloat for as long as it did.
While in SOLDIER, he made best friends with two other First Class SOLDIERs, Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos. They became nearly inseparable when they were on their free time, and often times spent it training together.
One day, Genesis had a terrible accident while training, which gave him a cut that never healed. Sephiroth, feeling responsible, offered to give him a blood transfusion but for reasons Sephiroth did not know, Angeal was the only one allowed to give blood to Genesis.
It was not long after this incident that Genesis was sent on a mission to lead SOLDIERs into Wutai to force the Wutainese to conform to their Mako energy source. When Genesis and the other SOLDIERs went missing, Sephiroth, Angeal, and a second class SOLDIER Zack Fair were sent to investigate with a couple troops of their own. Even the Director, Lazard, came to Wutai. It was here that Sephiroth began to realize something was terribly wrong, as he found out some foes they had taken out were Genesis clones. To make matters worse, Angeal was now missing as well.
Sephiroth lays low for a while, until he is asked to find Professor Hollander, the man believed to be helping Genesis and Angeal. He took Zack with him to Mako Reactor 4 (or was it 5?) where Hollander’s laboratory was believed to be, where they found numerous reports about “Project G”. Project Genesis (or so they assumed). Hollander shows up once they find the reports, and when they begin to show aggression to the scientist, Genesis himself finally shows his face. Sephiroth found it hard to look at his former best friend who was now his enemy, aiding Hollander as he was. But the two were left alone to “catch up” as Zack chased after Hollander, who ran off. (Would add more, but y’know, didn’t really get to see what Genesis and Sephiroth talked about or… did.
Sephiroth once again lays low for a (much, much longer) while, until Lazard goes missing, where he is then appointed the temporary head of SOLDIER in the Director’s absence. It is not much longer that Sephiroth was asked to go on a mission to Nibelheim to investigate sightings of strange creatures in the Nibel Mountains. Once again he is sent there with Zack, accompanied by two Shinra grunts, one of them being Cloud Strife.
When they arrive, Sephiroth immediately feels a little strangely about Nibelheim, feeling like he had been there before and recognized a town he had never visited before. Regardless, he shook it off and continued on his way. They rested for the first day there, but the next day was their trip into the Nibel Mountains to look at the mako reactor. There guide was none other than Tifa Lockhart, Cloud’s childhood crush. He never spoke a word out of guilt and embarrassment, but Zack openly protested many times to have a girl like her doing such a dangerous trip with them. Sephiroth’s reply was, “Then you protect her.” Against Sephiroth’s will, he was taken in a picture with Zack and Tifa before they left for the mountains.
They ran into a few obstacles along the way, like a broken bridge that dropped them from the peak of some mountains down to the bottom, but four of the five adventurers made it through the fall and continued on. When they reached the reactor, Cloud was asked to watch Tifa outside and make sure she did not force her way into the reactor. And thus, Sephiroth and Zack continued on.
When they reach the pod room, Sephiroth is disgusted when he sees the monsters developing within said pods. It is Hojo’s doing, his father’s doing, he knows. But what really bothered him is when he saw his “mother’s” name, “JENOVA,” written in big, bold letters above a door at the top of the stairs. The General begins to question himself and his origins now, wondering if he was just a monster.
It is now that Genesis shows up (Okay this is how it happens in Crisis Core. D: Totally different from the original FFVII game) and tells Sephiroth just what a monster he really is, without mentioning that Lucrecia is really his mother. Genesis’s ultimate goal was to drive Sephiroth into “joining” him and allowing him to take some Jenova cells to end his decay. Sephiroth is terribly troubled, half-believing Genesis’s words, but even so, his words to Genesis are: “You will rot.” Genesis is somewhat horrified at this response, and then spitefully says to Sephiroth’s back, “Fitting for a true monster.” (Or something like that xD)
An entire week Sephiroth spent in the basement of the Shinra mansion, reading all the books on the Jenova project. Everything he read pointed to the false truth that he came to believe: His mother was a monster, thus so was he. A project. An experiment. A monster. Zack tries to come in and check on Sephiroth, but the General asked to be alone.
At the end of the week, Zack wakes up one night to find that the entire village of Nibelheim was in flames. He runs around, trying to find out what happened, and finds out just what happened when he saw Sephiroth killing a few innocent villagers, seeing him, and disappearing back toward the reactor. Zack followed him after checking on the few people that still lived. When he arrives at the reactor, Tifa’s father is lying dead after attempting to protect his town from Sephiroth. As Zack moves further into the reactor, he finds Tifa lying heavily injured at the bottom of the stairs of the pod room, and gently puts her aside as she drifts in and out of consciousness. She was injured, but Sephiroth had to be stopped.
Zack confronts Sephiroth, asking him why he did all these terrible things, but Sephiroth merely babbled on to the metal figure of a female, behind which lay the preserved body of Jenova. Eventually, Zack attacks Sephiroth, which begins a round of fighting that leaves Sephiroth only partially worn out, but Zack is exhausted and no longer able to fight. All obstacles out of the way, Sephiroth rips the metal figure out of the way that leads to Jenova. He took Jenova’s head, thinking everything was fine now, until Cloud snuck up and used Zack’s buster sword to stab him deeply in the side. Cloud is tossed away, stabbed through the stomach, and held above the ground by masamune. Sephiroth figured Cloud would die and everything would be good, until Cloud pulled himself closer using the blade of the sword and used this leverage to toss Sephiroth into the pool of Mako below, destroying him.
(( I’m getting really really tired of this history so a lot of detail is going to disappear here. XD ))
It isn’t until five years later that Sephiroth returns using pieces of Jenova. Cloud is now the hero of the story and chases after Sephiroth to stop him along with a group of friends he picks up along the way. Meanwhile they are also wondering just how he came back to life when Cloud was sure he saw him die.
Later the truth is revealed that Sephiroth really has been dead the entire time, and the one they’ve been fighting was a mere “clone”, you could call it. And Sephiroth, or Jenova’s will, is summoning all people with Jenova cells within them to the Northern Crater for a Reunion. But first, Sephiroth forced Cloud to hand him the Black Materia, which he used to summon Meteor upon the planet. The only way to reverse this spell being the Holy materia, which was Aerith’s material though no one realized this until later.
Long story short, Cloud and co entered the Northern Crater to fight Sephiroth and end this once and for all. They defeated Sephiroth after a long, hard battle, but that wasn’t stopping Meteor. In the end, the Lifestream itself poured out of the planet and used itself as a weapon to stop Meteor from destroying it. All seemed to be over in terms of evil and suffering in the world, except that people began falling ill with an unknown disease that came to be known as Geostigma, which was the body overcompensating to fight off Jenova cells. Most people infected with the disease were doomed to death, seeing as there was no cure.
Sephiroth returns in Advent Children for no more than ten minutes or so. His body returned to the Lifestream when Cloud killed him; however his “mentality” remained on Gaia and split into three silver-haired beings, referred to mostly as “Sephiroth larva.” With some of Jenova’s cells, they would transform into Sephiroth and finish their Reunion. However, Cloud is once again able to defeat Sephiroth, who claims that he will never remain a mere memory.
(If this gets rejected, I will scream. XD I worked on the HISTORY alone for over an hour. Hahaha.)
