On the surface Skye appears to be calm and reserved, always dwelling deep in his own world of thoughts and rarely letting anybody else in, he doesn't show much emotions, leading people to perceive him as cold and uncaring, which in all fairness isn't entirely wrong.
The truth is he rarely shows emotions because most of the time he doesn't care enough about something to. Skye is a person who operates solely out of his own set of interest and sense of duty, thus he is rather biased towards the people he likes and capable of acting very rashly in emotional situations.
Intellectually, Skye is of slightly above average intelligence, yet quick and sharp-witted enough to constantly outsmart those who are way cleverer than he is. His way of thinking consists of breaking everything in a situation down to general, unarguable facts, at which point it's possible to emulate a genius intellect simply by thinking fast.

Since Skye operates by his impressive control over water, his combat style varies depending on the availability of resources.
In most cases where water is vastly available through air and natural sources, Skye fights by overwhelming his enemies with an endless stream of attack, raining down ice-crafted weapon and torrents of icicles at them, while making frozen spikes explode from every inch of land they set foot on. This method has very little reliance on accuracy, and is mostly a deterrence technique, since the sight of hundreds of levitating frozen blades is enough to make most people rethink their willingness to fight, it is also ideal for facing multiple enemies at once, and when executed from a hidden position, can fool them into thinking that there is more than a single opponent.
In desert environments or places where water is scarce, a single, more durable weapon will be utilized in a fighting style that will take advantage of his great speed to end the fight decisively as soon as possible.
History:
Skye comes from a world of considerable technological advancement, where in the battle against Heartless urged a rapid series of researches.
While nothing could be done for people losing their Hearts to the savage attacks of Heartless, a treatment was invented to heal damaged ones, this treatment required the separation of the damaged Heart from the body, necessitating the creation of replacement Hearts to temporarily inhabit the empty bodies, initially there were no knowledge of Nobodies yet, and this move was solely one made out of common sense. Skye was one of the many artificial Hearts created this way.
Eventually the cost of creating temporary Hearts caused the project to be halt, and soon the menace of Nobodies made themselves known. In the following massacre, the world that was already struggling against Heartless fell in less than a fortnight, Skye was one of the very few who escaped alive to Twilight Town, where he has since taken residence.
Due to the nature of his existence, his Heart is not perfectly synchronized with his body, leading to quite a bit of complications.
