Role playing is the act of playing a character in a world like or different from our own. The amount of skill used to roleplay varies from person to person, and is usually affected by typing skills and imagination. If you don't have imagination, chances are your posts will end up rather shallow... • If you're talking in OOC (Out of Character, meaning a statement made not part of the role play), it's best to make it clear in some way by using parentheses, arrow signs... • Try to be courteous with your fellow RPers. Like you, they're looking to have a good time, so please, do your best to oblige them as they would for you. • In fights, always remember one thing - take punches as your character would. If your character is a warrior, slow and strong, then he/she shouldn't be able to dodge a high-speed attack from Micky. Taking blows always adds to the variety of confrontations. That's pretty much it for the basics of role playing. If you managed to read this far without going to sleep, congratulations.
