The rumors of the 'Haunted Mansion' where known all through out Twilight Town. Tales about phantom girls, odd things happening, mysterious creatures, all of which were probably based on what some superstitious person 'witnessed'. Of course Raven believed in the supernatural and she in fact knew some ghosts. Of course all things considering, she was from Halloween Town. Her boots made no noise she traveled over the thick grass in the forest that was located on the outskirts of of the quite little world...
This forest the girl would admit had a very strange presence about it...it was a though some one was watching her. Bones her pet kitten took refuge on Raven's shoulder unable to trot along quickly along side her because of the undergrowth. Her wide green eyes were stretched open wide and the hair on her back stuck up in bristles. Obviously she and her master shared the same feeling of discomfort.
After wandering along the dimly lit trail a opening in the trees came into view. Her mood suddenly uplifted, Raven jogged the rest of distance and found herself in a clearing where a wall and wrought iron gate was conveniently placed. The girl's bright pink eyes stared up at the large structure built a few yards behind the wall. It was an older house with a rustic feel to it, one of the largest windows held white lace curtains.
With a feeling of contentment Raven walked over the large gate and studied the monstrous lock attached to it. The girl poked agitatedly at it with her index finger as her cat jumped from her perch and landed gracefully in the grass below. The small creature walked around the square clearing curiously and occasionally nudged something with her tiny nose.
Raven however was still working and locked a gate and was surprised that it would not open with magic. She opened and closed her mouth with frustration while shaking her staff fervently and mumbling a few incantations under her breath. Her efforts how ever were awarded with nothing. "Bones? You could crawl under this thing right? Well I'm going to scale the gate, please follow." The girl's unique voice rang out fluidly.
Pale hands clutched the large bars as Raven heaved herself up using the strength in her forearms, the climb was slow but progressive. However her progress was interrupted mid-way when Bones let out a hiss, she tilted her head back to see what was causing the disturbance. The outline of something, or someone, was visible in the darkened forest. "Hello?" The scrawny girl inquired.[/size]
