General:
Kenshiki is a very young hearted Human. He’s a member of the very few keybearing souls. Most of all though, he is trying to become what his father would want. Unlike the relationship that He had with his father in the previous time he spent in their world, they both seem to get along, on a spiritual level. Or, this is what Ken believes. Being one of his faults, he believes he can see his fathers soul. Whether this is true or not. Ken hates being around people that think of nothing but themselves, this is different from senseless pride and being arrogant, at least those people have a reason to be. No, but the ones that are obnoxious simply irk his nerves, making him want to just end their lives. Though he wouldn’t ever do that, that would go against the pride of his Position.
Ken is usually a calm man, either sleeping or sitting around his house when he’s not training. He lives as a keybearer, and he plans to die as one. As of so far, He can only ever recall one incident that would be considered a life or death situation, and he remembers it, despite a child's mind that would naturally block it out. But you know, he would never dare to forget it.
Speech and thought:
Ken is a very intelligent man. He can deduce a situation within minutes, and he can use that knowledge to come up with a solid counter attack and/or plan. Ken however, usually lets others do the thinking. He may be smart, and he may be able to do these things, but he doesn’t like too. He detests helping others with their problems, and unless it can directly affect him, he would have no part in it at all. Ken can keep his conversations going as well. He will say anything, besides the downing of others, unless they bring it upon themselves, but besides that, he will talk about anything.
Kenshiki has perfect speech, he never adds suffixes to peoples names, and the only time you can ever find him babbling is more than likely in his sleep. He won’t go around shouting and blatantly throwing out ‘big words’ but he won’t stick to a one syllable basis. He is, as many say, a ‘Grammar Nazi’ and if someone constantly slips up, he will point it out, without fear of them feeling hurt or threatened.
Love and Activity:
Ken is still looking for love. He believes that there is one person out there for everyone. He doesn’t usually talk about it freely, but he wishes to find that one person that he can call his own. His standards aren’t high, but he doesn’t want a monster stalking his corner every minute of every second of his life. He sternly follows the path his father had, and will ask a girl out, even if it means being rejected every time he makes an attempt at talking to one.
Along these lines, He won’t go after a girl that rejected him the first time, that just proves he can’t get over himself, and he needs to move on. He follows a strict moral code, and would never dare to break these codes. Ken isn’t very active, though is in great shape, if he can sleep, he will sleep. During normal hours, and he'll stay awake all night.
Anger and being playful:
It isn’t rare to find this young man angry, or pissed off. The slightest thing will set him over the edge, like a constant f**k up with grammar. He knows some do it to piss him off, and in these cases, he will beat the nuts out of someone for doing it. He can’t take being mocked either, and if someone ever attempts it, he will come across their jaw until they understand. Though, He is also very easy to get along with. He likes to flirt, and he likes to joke, harmless joking that is. It’s easy to tell when someone is joking and when they’re just being A$$holes. Kenshiki loves to play fight, wrestle, and even sometimes go outside, no gloves, boxing matches. Just some of the few things that battle with his being lazy attitude.
Physical Appearance: Kenshiki stands at an average six foot. Weighing about one hundred and ninety ponds. All muscle, not a single pound of fat on him at all. He has silky light blue hair. This is short, about five inches from the top of his head. His hair drapes over his eyes most of the time, although he tries to keep it to the sides. He has an athletic build, his stomach and chest are very well toned, while his arms are decently muscular. His lower half of his body is also muscular to an extent. He has no type of facial hair, nor does he have any real scars on his body. He has a tattoo though on his back. The tattoo is very well detailed, it resembles two lions, both a different shade of color. One a very light gray, nearly matching white, while the other is all black, both showing up perfectly on his tanned skin. The two lions both have horns on their foreheads. The black lion a very majestic mane, while the lighter lion, is actually a lioness. They are both facing opposite directions like they are circling each other, ready to do combat for dominance, which goes agaisnt the real world nature of a lion, but it seems to show just how some things change.
He wears a white under shirt, better known as a "Beater". Over that, he wears an orange shirt, the ends of the sleeves are blue. The final piece on his torso is an all gray jacket, fur on the hood. On the back of the jacket, much like his tattoo, are two lions, but on his jacket they are laying with each other, like two cubs would, but they are fully grown lions. He never found the attire his family had very comfortable. They were so..."Formal" and boring, he can't stand em at all. Kenshiki wears blue jeans, two lions on either side of the jeans and they seem to be heading toward the ground, no huge significance with his clothes, other then they fit him very well. On his feet are two Orange shoes, blue tongue and blue brim at the bottom. On his right hip is his keyblade, tying through one of the loops on his pants, he never gos anywhere without it.
During meetings and/or formal reunions, You will find, and this is quite literally the only time, Ken in his old home uniform. He hates it, it's so tight and plain, and he's still so young, and not old. The white over coat to his black uniform is like any other, but around the shoulder's, they're completely blue from that point down, and from about the waist down, you will see blue flame like designs running over the entire Robe. Under his black hakama, you can find a blue shirt rather than his bare chest, like some of his family. He always wears blue socks with his sandals. This isn't normal, so seeing him like this, well if you could get a picture, it would be a moment to cherish.
Equipment: Keyblade, gummi ship.
Combat Style: Ken's battle style is very unique, he says. He uses an odd combination, more often than any keybearer he has ever met. He's directly Magic with a hint of the good ol' smack to the face via keyblade hilt. Those two aspects combined into one to allow him to use his speed, and intelligence to it's full extent. He'll start by using a slowing magic. After examining the enemy, to determine weather or not he'll be more of a threat with his feet or his arms. If that is the case, he'll seal away their primary means of attack or escape, than use his keyblade to down the enemy.
Ken is a very calm person during a fight. He will never over think something. Although if it is so stressful, he may also start to overreact, taking too many precautions. He hates to do this, so ending the battle as quickly as possible is his main concern. If a comrade is being attacked by multiple enemies that can be defeated, and it will not hinder the rest of the group, Kenshiki will assist them.
History: [Note]This is taking place back in the 1500's. That is what -HIS- world is about. So, this is to clear up any confusion.
Birth:
Kenshiki's birth was like all the children's back in the 1500's, or well, for his worlds time line anyway. Planned before hand by two people, married or not. His cool hearted "Parents" were fairly young, about sixteen each, they wouldn't keep track of the age but they were young in the end. His father, Ken, and his mother Shiki, were madly in love. Ken, he had all white hair, very dark blue eyes. Shiki, she was a very beautiful women, Long silky black hair, Light blue eyes. These two seemed to be the perfect match. They never fought, they never seemed to be caught in trouble with the other villagers. Their life seemed perfect, and it was.
The house was two floors, nicely built, even for the sixteenth century. In all it's marvel, the inside was what really brought people back. Four rooms inside, each one with it's own unique style. The main room was lined with wood, a very primitive carpet on the floor. Primitive for the future, but quite elegant for the sixteenth century. A wooden table with six chairs at it. Chandelier over top of it, china closet with some of the finest plates, bowls, cups, forks, sthingys, and so on and so forth inside.
The next two rooms were basically the same. Both rooms, each with their own bed in it, but one for the child soon to be born, and the other for the two parents. In the child's room, it had a crib, that being about all they had made by that time. The parents room had their bed, and that was also about all it had. The last room on the first floor, the birth room, was the largest. I had nothing but a soft cushion across the floor, while their was hot water and towels ready for her. The birth was about to begin.
Kenshiki was born around the time of Fall, heading into winter, what would be October seventeenth 1504. The small house was actually rather big compared to the other people's homes. Ken and Shiki decided that they would combine their names, and coincidently it meant Pride, a very fair word for the young man. No two parents felt more welcoming of their child then these two. From there, their life would begin.
Early youth:
Kenshiki was now turning seven. He attended a local village school. His life had been a perfect as to yet. Nothing making him cry, the occasional trip, scrapped knee, a fallen tooth here and there. Nothing that really made him cry though. He was a very happy child. Nothing could ever make him sad, until...
Kenshiki had become sick, and with such a very primitive medical expenses to date, he would and could only rely on luck. His life hung in the balance, his mother Shiki, and his father Ken, both stayed with him every night and every day. They prayed to what ever being would hear to let their only son survive such a horrendous illness. All the villagers had given up on the child, in a astonishing two days, he had become worse. All hope was lost.
Kenshiki, only after a few days, woke up with nothing wrong with him. He didn't know why or how but, he was perfectly well. He thought it was the lord and savorier thats they all so willingly and naively believed in. Not to long after this incident, the sudden closeness to death brought about beings that the young boy, or his father and mother could possibly never hope to understand. That was until his parents lives were in danger. Standing to the darkness, Ken was given a keyblade, the basic kingdom key, but instantaneously he knew what to do. Fighting off the creatures, and from that point on...their lives would never be the same.
Teen's:
After eight years of Kenshiki's life, a lot has happened. Some for the better and some for the worst. He wasn't sure what to think of it all. On the plus, he gained much better control over his powers that he gained, even learning new styles and ways to use these powers. On the negative end, the village was now becoming suspicious of "witch" craft within their home. To top it all off, two years after his fifteenth birthday, His father had lost his life to what seemed to almost have killed them before. Heartless.
Kenshiki slowly became a cold hearted young man, he was seventeen and he wanted to leave his judgmental village, start a new life, become something more. His wish would soon come true, but not the way he suspected. His mother had gone into town, she was shopping for food. Normally she would pay for it and leave, but today, she was forced to clean and cook, and pay double. She couldn't refuse, she needed the food. After leaving the shop and the inner walls of the town, she was jumped and raped by three men. They stole all of her food, leaving her to sob in her pain.
She had gotten home, her face filled with sorrow, her body aching from the bruises and scrapes she had received during the whole ordeal. Kenshiki wanted to help, but she didn't want to hear it. Leaving him to do what he wanted, she had killed herself by hanging herself with a rope in her room. Hanging from her window, Kenshiki had to discover this on his own.
Having no idea what was going on, He thought she was just upset about his father still. He didn't think much of it, until of course his mother hadn't said a word for hours on end. 'Mother!' He would exclaim on an endless rampage. Tears rolled down his cheeks running to her second floor room. The door was locked, and Kenshiki knew something was wrong.
The day was October seventeenth, 1521 according to his village. Kenshiki's birthday. Kicking in the door, he found the rope, and his mother hanging from the window, her cold cheeks a sign of her death. Cutting her down and pulling her up to him, Kenshiki cried for the next three days. He swore it, he would get his revenge. Though he did not know it was the village, they were the main cause for his grief. He thought it was the heartless. Letting his hatred go, his soul was beaten to a pulp. He wanted to die, but he knew he couldn't. Leaving everything behind, he found a ship, this of coruse was not his, but it was like an alien ship, and anything that would let him out of his village. Taking the ship, he ventured onto his new life. Slowly, his mind became calm again, and slowly, he became his old happy self. Forgetting the hate, and remembering the good times. [/blockquote]
