A Rare Find

Another daring escape for the young heroine, Yuffie. Yes, she had just escape the deadly mosnter of the old battlegrounds to were the old castle lyies in ruin. Yuffie had found herself a few lost treasures that were actually materia which was a interesting surpise for her. Though before she could gaze at their pretty colors she was surrounded by a few naste fiends that didn't like her taking those stones. So Yuffie engage them and with ease defeated what seemed to be the only threat she would have there. However the young ninja was wrong. Another wave of monster move in on the scene and were very angry with her taking the stones. Yuffie who wasn't in the correct mood to fight quickly used a smoke bomb and quickly escaped from the battle.

Even though it wasn't like Yuffie to leave from a battle she wasn't about to let a few monster get to her. So now that she was away and safe inside the city gounds. Yuffie could now quietly gaze at her find. "I can't believe I found these and here of all places. Hm.. maybe its a sign. Maybe my materia days are coming back.." Yuffie said as she glanced at the three stones she gained from her search around the ruins. "I wonder if Cloud is still here. He might want to have one beforehand." Yuffie walked slowly over to lone balcony in the far corner of the town.

Walking up the widen stairs Yuffie was still so exicted and interested about finding this stones. She hopped that more could be found. Maybe she could go back to ruins and find more. If she did do that then she would have to ask Leon or somebuddy to go with her incase those dumb monster decide to come back again. Sitting on the railing Yuffie tossed one of the stones in the air and quietly thought of her next move.

[Kairi [Aerith]]

Kairi yawned lightly. She rubbed her eyes, trying to get the sleep out of them. Another late night of trying to train herself. The bright sun glared into her eyes, and she flinched. Raising one arm to block the rays, Kairi began to ponder of where to go next. Perhaps the Bailey? Most of the Restoration Committee members seemed to go there at some point. Azure eyes squinted slightly, tyring to block out the light. "I'm so tired," she murmured with another yawn. Kairi ambled her way through the slightly crowded streets. It seemed that everyone was out here today.

Kairi found herself spending more and more time within Radiant Garden. Perhaps to make up for the time she had not been here? Maybe. Kairi did enjoy it here, though. Leon and the others were letting her help with the Restoration, and that made her happy. She got to hang out with her friends, and help do something good as well. Her spirits began to rise, and her walk began to have a slight bounce to it.

Kairi had made her way to the stairway that lead to the Bailey. As she made her way up, her azure eyes landed on one of the Restoration members. Her lips curled into a grin, and she hurried her way up. "Yuffie!" she called. Her eyes sparkled as she spotted her friend. Her head tilted when she saw the ninja throw a small orb up and down. "What's that?" she asked curiously.

Still tossing the small glowing stone into the air Yuffie was totally obivous of the voice. By the time she heard the voice echo into her ear she had just tossed the stone back into the air. Yuffie looked around as the stone connceted with her head "OUCH!!" She yelled jumping around placing her hands over her head. The stone rolled directly towards Kairi. Yuffie rubbed her head and looked around a bit. She turned a faced Kairi now and with a smile walked over towards the other two stones. "Hiya Kairi I'm sorry I didn't hear ya. Focused on an important mission." Yuffie said with a grin. Yuffie looked around and noticed that she didn't see where the stone had rolled too. "Oh NO!!!" Yuffie looked around and looked down at Kairi's feet "Hehe so thats were you escaped too. Trin to head to Kairi." She knelt down and picked the stone up.

Walking back over to the other two stones Yuffie placed the third with the two. "These are materia stones Kairi.." Yuffie grinned as she covered them up with the cloth she had placed them in. She turned back to Kairi and smiled "These stones are the source of life back in my world. I use to collect them to help my village. That was until I met Cloud. I would gave him some pretty powerful ones." Yuffie remembered all those goods times. She smiled looking towards the sky.

"Though now I haven't seen stones like this since well I don't when but these are rare." Yuffie said putting them away in her back pouch. Yuffie leaned against the railing again as she glanced back at Kairi "So what brings you here Kairi?" Yuffie asked with another smile.

Kairi watched with a grin as the small orb suddenly hit Yuffie's head. A giggle escaped her, and her hand flew to her mouth. She tried to stifle the laugh, but Yuffie was just so funny to watch sometimes. Her azure eyes watched the orbs bounce from Yuffie's head and onto the concrete ground. It rolled towards her feet, but she did not pick it up. Kairi did not wish for Yuffie to accuse her of stealing her things. That was never a good thing. "What mission?" she asked with a grin. She was glad to see Yuffie was not too hurt.

Her azure eyes widened as Yuffie suddenly began to search for the orb. She jumped back when the brunette knelt down to grab the sphere. "Materia? Never heard of them." A sheepish smile formed on her lips, and she rubbed the back of her head. A gesture she had gotten from Sora. Her head tilted, and she listened to the explanation with a smile. "They sound very important."

Kairi smiled and nodded. Just more proof that all the worlds were connected in some way. She took Yuffie's example and leaned against the railing beside her. Her head inclined towards Yuffie, and she smiled. "Just visiting. I wanna help with the Restoration. This is my homeworld after all," Kairi answered with a smile. It was where she had lived, and she wanted to help in any way she could.

Yuffie watched as Kairi followed her example onto leaning against the railing. The young ninja has experinced so much in her lifetime. From fighting with Cloud and helping him trining to defeating Sephrioth. Now she was here in this strange place helping it become a more peaceful place for those without a home to go to. Yuffie grinned when Kairi asked about her "mission" "Well earlier this mission I was around the ruins of the old castle. Thats then I found the materia stones." Yuffie said as she crossed her arms to think. "Maybe Kairi can go with me.." The young ninja glanced back at Kairi "Kairi can you defend yourself..?" She asked. She wanted to make sure that Kairi wouldn't get hurt if she went along.

When Yuffie heard that Kairi never heard of materia her month just dropped opened "What..? You never heard of materia." She sighed as she shacked her head "Honey someone is going to have to get you out and about. Maybe I could hehe.." She giggled at the thought. The two were closly alike but Kairi was the more responbile one of the two. While Yuffie was the rebel and the one that doesn't give a rats butt about anything. Maybe if Kairi agreed to going with Yuffie then just maybe Yuffie could take her on more adventures like the one Sora use to have.

"That's good the more the merry I say."

[/b] Yuffie smiled as she continued to listen to Kairi. "Really I didn't know you lived here. Could have told me earlier.." Yuffie smirked as she put her arms back on the rail. Yuffie just stood there feeling the morning air float against her skin. The morning sun was just warm enough to balance out the chill air. She closed her eyes for a second within the time Yuffie just stood there. She was happy that Kairi was here sitting here with her. Maybe they could grow on their friendship. Maybe Yuffie could actually pass on some skills to Kairi and maybe some bad habits too. She opened her eyes again as she looked over at Kairi. "Come on let's go.." Yuffie grinned as she pushed herself off the rail and run down the stairs and wiated for Kairi.

Kairi looked to Yuffie, her head tilting to the side. Why was she asking if she could defend herself? Her lips suddenly curled into a smile, and her azure eyes sparkled brightly. Finally! Someone who would take her on an adventure, and not be constantly worried over her well-being. She loved Sora and Riku dearly, but the overprotective nature of the both of them was stifling. Her head bobbed up and down quickly as she nodded. "Yeah, I can. No need to worry!" she replied with a cheerful grin.

Kairi was ready to tackle Yuffie. Why had she not thought of coming to Yuffie earlier? "Do you really mean that?" she asked. She would love to be able to go with the brunette. A joyful feeling still lingered with her, and she let a content sigh escape her lips. Her hand reached upwards, and Kairi brushed her auburn bangs from her face. She knew she was going to enjoy this day very much.

Kairi looked to Yuffie again and she grinned. "I didn't even know I lived her until Sora told me," she replied with a giggle. Her blue orbs wandered back to the bright and sunny sky. The rays glared into her eyes once more, and she lifted an arm to try and block the warm rays. The day was beautiful, and it reminded her of Destiny Island. Kairi had never seen Radiant Garden this sunny before. A perfect day to go out and look for treasure. She removed her arm, and looked back to Yuffie with a grin. "Alright!" Kairi instead propped herself onto the railing and slid down.

Kairi slid off the rail and landed next to Yuffie with a grin. "I've always wanted to try that."

Yuffie was extremely happy that Kairi accepted her offer to come along with her. Yuffie smiled as her new friend sailed down the railing. "Alrighty" Yuffie said jumping around as Kairi landed next to her. With that out of the way now she crossed her arms and started walking around with a serious thinking look "Okay Kairi last time I want there was some serious monster. Now we are going to be alright but in case we aren't do you have everything you need like potions and stuff like that..?" Yuffie asked looking up at her. If they were going to do this then they would need to prepare themsevles cause those monsters seemed very strong almost stronger then Yuffie but not enough to defeat her. Yuffie came to a complete stop as she placed her hands on her hips "Okay then I believe we should get going while we still can.." Yuffie started running towards the other side of the town. Standing near the item shop she waved to Kairi "Over there!!" Yuffie shouted with a joy.

Yuffie didn't want to lose Kairi in her search for these stones. She really hopped they were more there. If there was then she could deliever to Cloud. Yuffie was bouncing around now like a bunny with the case of crazyness. "Come on Kairi before someone beats us to it." Yuffie said as she ran away from the ice cream stand. Yuffie was now waiting outside Marlin's house waiting for Kairi. She go anywhere else until Kairi got there.

Kairi smiled and followed after Yuffie. This was something she was looking forward to greatly. She walked beside the hyperactive ninja, wondering if she had everything. Her azure eyes trailed to Yuffie at the sound of her question. Kairi smiled, and she patted the pouch that rested against her hip. "Yup! I have a few potions right here, and I think I have an ether or two as well," she said, checking her side pouch. Kairi nodded to herself, glad to see that she did have a couple of ethers.

Kairi was always prepared! Well, for the most part anyway. Her musings were cut short as Yuffie suddenly stopped. Her expression was etched into one of surprise as she almost collided with the ninja. Kairi took a few steps back, looking to Yuffie with a curious expression. "Why'd you--?" Her question was cut off as Yuffie began to run ahead. "Wait up!" Kairi shouted, running after her.

Kairi continued to run after Yuffie, hoping they would not be spending their entire time running. Her lungs already burned for air, and she inhaled deeply. Kairi had never been great at running. She always lost those races between herself, Sora, and Riku. "I'm coming!" she shouted. Kairi was not able to stop for long as Yuffie began to bound ahead of her once again. Her burning legs carried her to outside Merlin's house. Placing her hands on her kness, Kairi tried to regain her lost breath. "I-I hope we don't h-have to run the whole w-way," she said, wheezing slightly.

By the time Kairi caught up with Yuffie she had just pushed herself off the wall of Merlin's door. She bent down and looked at her wore out friend "Sorry Kairi I kinda realized that I had this special item that can teleport close enough to the ruins." She said pulling out a small item. She grinned as she wanted to pick her up and get moving there. However she would wait for her to take in a few good deep breaths. "Sorry Kairi I didn't know that you were a runner hehe could have told me about though.." Yuffie placed her hands on her hips. Yuffie didn't like when people didn't tell her key things about them. It made her a little upset. She sighed as she sat back on the ground.

After awhile Yuffie decided to see if Kairi was ready for the trip there "So you better and ready to go..?" Yuffie asked with a little grin. Yuffie breifly looked around to make sure no one was watching them or would tell Cloud on her for using the teleporting item. Yuffie stood up again double checking the area.

"Okay Kairi let's go.." Yuffie said with a great smile. One was still exicted about going and two getting ready to try out this special gift that Cloud left her when the last met. Holding it in her hand she waited for Kairi to take in her last few breathes incase she would need more running.

Her heart was pounding against her chest heavily, and she clutched at her chest with her right hand. Kairi looked up at Yuffie, and she stared at her blankly. "You had that the whole time?" she asked with an indignant pout. If she was not wheezing, she would give the ninja something to run from. Kairi inhaled a few more times, sagging onto the ground with a sigh of relief. Maybe she could do some jogs in the morning to work on her breathing. She really hated how out of breath she was. "You never gave me the chance. You just tool off," Kairi replied, sending a mild glare at the ninja.

Kairi felt her racing heart calm again, and her breathing return to normal as well. A sigh of relief escaped her lips, and she pulled herself up from the ground. She watched the hyperactive brunette warily, hoping she would not take off again. Kairi did not think she could run that far again. "I'm good now," she said with a smile.

Kairi nodded and she took in one last breath. Well, she was back to normal once again. She looked to the teleporting item warily, hoping it would work. Kairi placed her hand on Yuffies, wondering if the object actually worked, but there was only one way to find out.

Watching Kairi take in a few good breathes. She giggled "Sorry Kairi I forgot" Yuffie rubbed the back of her head as Yuffie watched Kairi get up from taking a breather. Yuffie felt very mean when Kairi said her next sentence "Hehe I thought you would be able to keep up with me.." She crossed her arms as Yuffie watched her get up from regaining her breathe. Yuffie was really inching to get there now and almost wanted to pick Kairi into her arms and use the item now. When Kairi was done getting her breathe Yuffie smiled and jumped around now "Thats great!! this almost caused her to run off again but Yuffie had to calm down now too.

"Okay lets see if this thing works." Yuffie said as Kairi's hand was on top of her own. Within moments of this the item started to glow with very bright light. "OKAY THERE WE GO!!" Yuffie shouted as the two soon disappeared from outside Merlin's house. The two traveled throughout the entire area. The two soon ended up on a large field that was surrounded by cliffs. The area flashed with a bright light as they finally arrived on the area. "Hey I know where we are at.." Yuffie jumped around. She slowly started walking around letting Kairi get use to things after their travel.

"So how ya feeling..?" Yuffie asked as she turned facing Kairi. Yuffie was making sure that Kairi was feeling an bad side effects or any kind of problems. She didn't want to have to fight some bad guys while Kairi wasn't feeling good. So she just wanted make sure nothing was wrong.

Kairi looked up to Yuffie with a playful glare. "You have an endless energy source. Not all of us do," she said with a teasing smile. She often wondered how the ninja could run around all day without getting tired. It was probably a ninja thing. Now wonder why Leon got annoyed so easily, but Kairi found the boundless energy endearing. Well, for the most part. There were times when she could do without it. Kairi felt her heart beat slow down, and she looked up to Yuffie with a smile. Time to start their mission then!

Kairi felt the curious sensation of disappearing, and she was not sure if it was all the pleasant. Her stomach twisted uncomfortably, and she was glad when they had reached their destination. Kairi placed her hand on her suddenly racing heart. Maybe running there would have been the better thing to do. Her azure eyes took in her surroundings. It was surrounded by cliffs. Her head tilted, not recognizing the area they were both in. "Where are we?"

Kairi looked to Yuffie with a smile, and she nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine." It was partial truth. While her stomach certainly was not feeling well, the rest of her felt fine. Kairi began to look around the field, wondering if they were still in Radiant Garden. She looked to Yuffie with a nervous glance. "We're still in Radiant Garden, right?"
